A busy year of running and cycling
Much more of a mixture this year as we both tackle duathlons, half and full marathons. Not just any old marathon but the toughest road marathon in Britain - the Snowdonia Marathon.
As usual we're attempting to raise money to find a cure for Motor Neurone Disease and Alzheimer's Disease
Cambridge Half Marathon 2019
The first event of the year, so we'll be no where near fit enough !!!
Slateman Duathlon 2019
A first for a both. Neither of us is looking forward to the long climb from Llanberis to Pen-y-Pass
Birmingham & Midlands Velo 2019 (42 miler)
Mike's first velo, well an introduction to one, with only 42 miles to cycle between Birmingham and Coventry
Mumbles Duathlon 2019
Christine's first foray into run-cycle-run events doing the super-sprint, while Mike will compete in the Sprint distance
May the Fourth Star Wars Half Marathon 2019
Christine and Mike will run this tough course across the Longmynd Hills for the fifth time
Port Talbot Half Marathon 2019
It's a new race for us and one of the closest to his childhood home. Promises to be a very tough second half as the route runs down the valley for 6.5 miles before returning back up hill.
Seriously Brutal Duathlon (Half)
Mike is pretty worried about this one:
First: 5 mile run around Llyn Padarn, Llanberis
Second: Twice around Mt Snowdon on a bike (58 miles)
Third: ascend Mt Snowdon from Llanberis and back
Great North Run 2019
The biggest run of them all. This will be Christine's 14th consecutive GNR and Mike's 13th
Eryri / Snowdonia Marathon 2019
It's been referred to as Britain's equivalent to the Everest Marathon. Both Mike and Christine are returning to tackle the toughest and most beautiful road marathon in Britain.
Mike at the finish line 2018 "Never, ever again"
St Neots Half Marathon 2019
The big test of fitness and speed at the end of November. We've lost count how many times we've done this race.
Mike has smashed his half marathon PB at St Neots for the last two years. Can he put himself through that pain again this year and go sub 1hr 37mins?
