I found a great website where you can create a 3D flyby using a GPS track.  The Everest Marathon seems an obvious subject.  So to get some idea of the scale and grandeur of the event here's a condensed three minute animation of the marathon.

Sorry for the delay in posting but we've had difficulties with Internet access since the finish but now we are in Kathmandu.

THey were the rules we followed in completing the Everest marathon. Yes, that's right we completed the world's highest and hardest marathon; for once the event lived up to the hype. It was brutal.

Christine finished in 11 hours 13 mins and I finished in 9 hours 45 mins.

Currently in Gorak Shep waiting to leave for our last walk before the marathon on Monday. Started to snow so it'll be interesting! We start running at 7a.m. Mon 29th (1.15 a.m. UK time) - so will be back in touch when we reach Namche at the other end! Boy this is going...
